The site for this building had been empty for a number of years and was one of the last major sites close to Kings Cross station that remained undeveloped.

Foster Wilson Size worked with our client, Opticrealm, to gain planning permission for a new mixed use building of five floors of office space above a ground floor with two retail units. The building design relates closely to the robust architecture of the adjacent 19thC warehouses, with sturdy columns and a stone finish. The height of the building is limited by its relationship to the nearby Kings Cross train sheds and a protected view to St Paul’s Cathedral that passes above the building.
