Foster Wilson Size was responsible for the design and execution of a phased programme of improvements to this 1,675 seat Grade II listed Edwardian theatre.

The works to the stage, auditorium and backstage areas better equip this major touring theatre to receive large scale opera and musical productions, and include levelling of the raked stage and improvements to dressing rooms and storage backstage.

The work was undertaken during summer closures over a three-year period.
